Transparency

VIDIVI's manufacturing heritage began with glass headlights for the automotive industry, where precision molding and high brightness are essential. That experience produces glass with exceptional transparency approaching the appearance of crystal, with the additional advantage of being 100% recyclable.

Brilliance

HD Glass has a refractive index of 1.51, producing brilliance comparable to crystal while remaining completely lead-free - safe for nature and safe for the body.

Extra-white glass

VIDIVI glass is classified as "extra white." It contains approximately 30% less iron than average glass, creating a clear white appearance without green, blue or yellow color casts.

Eco-sustainability

Suitable for food contact

Vetri delle Venezie glass is classified as Category A, meaning it is suitable for all types of food contact and can be sterilized.

Mechanical resistance

Laboratory testing confirms the mechanical resistance of Vetri delle Venezie glass. In one test, a 36-gram steel object was dropped from a height of 60 centimeters onto the rim of a tumbler, and the rim remained intact.

Safety testing

Unlike tempered glass, which can shatter completely and disperse fragments in many directions, VIDIVI's pressed, non-tempered HD Glass is designed not to shatter or explode on impact.

Laboratory tests on 12 HD tumblers found that breakage occurred only after an impact equal to or greater than a 225-gram sphere falling from a height of 60 centimeters inside the tumbler. When breakage occurred, the base detached from the body, limiting the dispersion risks described above.

Dishwasher safe

Laboratory testing of the chemical stability of Vetri delle Venezie HD Glass produced above-average results:

• HD Glass did not deteriorate after prolonged dishwasher washing.
• HD Glass did not become opaque.
• HD Glass demonstrated remarkable resistance to hydrolysis and to chemical exposure in water.

These results assume proper dishwasher use.

Microwave safe

Testing of VIDIVI-branded articles by accredited SSV laboratories certifies that the glass is suitable for microwave use. This differs from crystal glass containing lead, which is unsuitable for use in a microwave oven.
